The Ayuntamiento: what your town hall does for you

Your Ayuntamiento serves the whole municipality, urbanisations included. It's where you register on the padrón, get empadronamiento certificates, pay or query municipal fees, apply for obra (works) licences before renovating, and report local issues like broken streetlights or dumped rubbish. Many services need a cita previa booked through the town hall website. Larger expat towns run an international residents' department — a good first stop when you don't know which office you need. Town notices, fiesta programmes and bando announcements are published on the Ayuntamiento website and its social media; following them is the easiest way to hear about road closures, water cuts and local events.

In Rojales / Ciudad Quesada

The Ayuntamiento de Rojales covers Rojales, Ciudad Quesada and Doña Pepa, and has an international residents' department.
